My first tiara

I've had a great day today. I should have been catching up on the house work but my friend Jayne offered to teach me how to make a tiara.

Here's my first attempt, well it was the second really as I managed to break the wire on the flower the first time!
Jayne makes the most beautiful tiaras, have a look HERE.

Handbag Charm

Today was an exciting day for me, my first ever DT project was published. I made this handbag charm. They are really easy to make, instructions are HERE

They don't cost a lot as you can use broken jewelery and leftover beads from other projects.

For findings, beads and advice try G.J. Beads. They are my favourite bead suppliers and have a huge range of beads to choose from.

Fiskarettes

A while ago Fiskarettes put out a call for a DT for 3 months. I decided to bite the bullet and applied. I was lucky enough to be chosen and have a box of tools on their way to me. I just love Fiskars tools, the scissors they produce are the best.
It's a great Blog to dip into, there's lots of inspiration and each month there's a competition with Fiskars tools as a prize.

Capture The Magic

Life has been really busy recently.
Half-term week we rented a cottage on the Norfolk Coast, it was a lovely relaxing break. Plenty of long walks on the beach and lots of photo opportunities. We visited the seals on Scroby Sands, one was playing in the wake of the boat.
On the way back we called in at Capture The Magic, it is an absolute Aladdins Cave for Scrapbookers and card makers. An hour had passed so quickly, there was a demonstration of the new Zig Dotta-Riffic pens, I just had to have some, well they were on special offer. My doodles are going to look much better now. If you're in the area, do call in, everywhere you turn there is something new to see. The staff are really friendly and helpful and you can browse as long as you like.
